I don't think it's as easy as that. By nature, women are more speculative and inquisitive, so just ask alot of questions and usually get the answer they were looking for out in time. Men, when lying, know they are lying and loose sight of the fact that everyone else is not an idiot and end up trying to convince themselves of what they are saying, thus get caught.

sometimes,

My boyfriend has a tell tale sign, he gets excited when he is lying, it shows that his brain is desprately trying to come up with an excuse. Well whenhe gets excited, he studders, most of the time he doesn't know he's doing it.

I don't think it's so much of a woman's trait. More or less a traite of good judgement. Anyone can pick up on vibes, and I happen to be one of those people

It depends on the guy and his skill level of lying. Most of the time I can tell, unless the guy is a Master Liar.

Way false.
If we could always tell, there wouldn't be women in battered womens shelters everywhere. There wouldn't be so many cheaters. We would never marry the wrong ones over and over again. and the list goes on and on etc...

False. I used to be a baaaad boy with one of my ex's...funny story:

Me and her friends boyfriend just finished toking up. I put in Cleareyes, but he elected not to. We came back in from our 'run to get beer' and his gf noticed immediately and asked him "Did you smoke?" he said "No, my eyes are just irritated" but she called BS. My girlfriend looked at me and asked the same question. I said no and she said "He didn't I can always tell when he is high/lying to me."

I just snickered inside to myself, riiiiight...you know me SO well. We had been dating for 4 years at that point.
