MARCUS
Good for any race. Just popped into my head.
But do you really want to tell a person that a Yahoo Answers poster named him?
I just found out that I was named after a suggestion a BARTENDER gave my parents!!!
:)

I agree with Randy 100%. Besides, if you really want to 'keep it real' and name your baby a REAL African name it would be more like the following and NOT names like Rafika, Shonnay-nay, Shequilla, Tequilla, Clymidia, Rae-Rae, etc. These ghetto *** names have NO meaning whatsoever. I am a black women with a beautiful name (Celina) and my parents named me based on its meaning and origin (which links to my cultural & spiritual background). HERE ARE SOME REAL AFRICAN NAMES WITH TRUE MEANING:

For a girl: Neshani or Etosha
For a boy: Nangolo or Shilli
All are from Namibia and I'm pretty sure they're all Oshiwambo names.

Why does a baby's name have to be "ethnic"? If you ask me, that's pretty lame. You're an American! I have English ancestry, but you don't see me naming my kids Igor, Helga, or Beowulf do you? Whatever you choose, just don't put anymore names with a 'q' and an 'a' out there. Sheniqua, Taniqua, Lequisha... come on!
