It's not bad for you, but it doesn't really do anything your body doesn't already do.
Everything that finds its way into your intestines will find its way out in 2 to 4 days unless you have a blockage or some kind of condition.
It's a benign procedure that might make you feel good for a few hours, but that's about all there is to it. Don't do it often, as it can strip your normal flora (good bacteria) that keep your gut healthy.

Things such as Enemas and colonics are really good and healthy for your body. Lots of waste and bacteria get stuck along your intestinal wall and that causes all kinds of symptoms and problems. Some include fatigue, extra belly fat, head aches, colon problems.... I suggest you take a look a few websites that discuss colonics and colon health (bodyharmony.com & thecolonicshop.com). Those websites are a few that I look at that are local for me.
There are some people that suggest enemas frequently, even weekly. Soe also suggest colonics on a regular basis, ie every three months.
Because of how our food is grown and processed it takes some outside intervention to get a clean colon and to maintain it. Most of us have years worth of waste hardened onour intestinal walls. Its worth giving some serious thought...

It is healthy to clean and move your bowels everyday. It is also healthy if you eat a lot of fiber, 25 grams a day (25 to 35 grams a day), to have a regular bowel movement.

It depends on what method of cleansing you use. E-lax and harsh laxatives make your body dependent and will not function normally without them. The best cleanse is to fast and give your bowel a rest. Start by taking a herbal laxative to jump start the waste removal. Don't fast on water alone of you will release too many toxins too fast.

keeping your colon is very healthy, it is one of the risk of colon cancer. you should at least get your colon cleaned out weekly. your bowels carries many germs that are not healthy at all. That's the reason that you are not supposed to wipe yourself down to up. it's up to down. This way you will not carry the grems to other place that will cause bactria infections.
