ever since i was like 3 years old i love to sing and act out little scripts of something.and i've always pictured myself on t.v. doing interviews and singing on the late night show and things like that.i know that a lot of people have that dream but i mean i would do anything for this dream to come true.anyone have some tips for me???

btw i forgot to mention that i write my own songs and im learning how to play the guitar and i will be 16 in october of '07 and my mom is taking me to an american idol audition so PLEASE vote for me when you see me i'm sure i'll be the only Ashlyn R.. :)

Go to an American Idol audition. Even if you don't "win" you will still get noticed. Look at Kellie Pickler, Clay Aiken, Chris Daughtry, etc. They all have albums.

I have the exact same dream as you. I have wanted to be an actress and singer for soo long and now I have started. All you have to do is take a few acting classes and singing lessons. Then after your coach says you are really good or someone else does, you need to get an agent and they will refer you to directors who are looking for certain parts. Good luck and maybe I'll see you in Hollywood!

I recommend going to a college or school with an excellent theater and music program. Just don't move to Hollywood like most people do that have this dream. That would be the WORST thing to do. Competition is so thick there that it would nearly impossible to find work.

learn to sing and act, and then audition for something. Whether it is a small local playhouse or broadway its experience. The more experience the better you become and the better chance you have of being in something bigger.

the first thing u need to do is pray, but i'm a singer my self and i sing at church and i'm 17 but i've been asked to go other places but it might be different with you i would try to go to a singing contest or if you got a band then make a home record and go to record deal.com and they should tell u what to do. good luck.
