Ideally you want a job that is flexible enough to work around your schedule and won't take too much time to influence your grades. I would look at on-campus jobs such as jobs in the labs or in computer centers. Those jobs allow you to study if you have extra time AND they will still pay you while you're there. I worked in a genetics lab and most of the time I sat there and just studied...its only when the graduate school students needed something that I got up and worked. Good luck.

I work for Wal Mart distribution on the weekends and I go to school all during the week. Works out great and I make decent money for a college student.

A part time job to allow you not to neglect your school work. Flexibility on the kind of job is important -it does not have to be related to your future career aspiratons. You have lots to choose from -waitressing, call centre work, cinema -go with your interests and you will still benefit by learning to work with people, make decisions, deal with difficult situations. I generally prefer an evening job which allows me to use my day for class work and reading.

Look to see what's available on the campus. At ours, students who work though our Student Development office get part-time jobs paying minimum wage. Doesn't sound that good, but they must work around your class schedule, and if there's nothing to do, they let you study. In addition, students get to register before ANYONE, so they always get the classes they want.

Beats having to quit jobs because your boss wants to change your schedule (even after you've told them that you're a student.)

I worked at a gym at the same time as in college which replaced into large for me. I worked early contained in the morning at the same time as it replaced into particularly and that i replaced into able to do my homework. associates of mine worked in eating places and they loved that. It somewhat relies upon on what you want to do. Make it relaxing for you.
