My brother has set up something so that whenever I open internet explorer (I have the new version) it plays this really annoying song, I like listening stuff over the internet so want to know how to stop it without having to turn the volume off.

There's a setting somewhere on the pc that plays a sound file every time you perform an action, I wonder if he's done that?
Its at Start - control panel - sounds and audio - sounds.
Theres a drop down box that lists sound schemes, you could try changing to 'no scheme' that and see if it helps, you might have to reboot.

I would agree. Your homepage is probably set to something that plays music. Go to a different page, and then go in Tools>Internet Options and then press Use Current to make that page your homepage instead. Hit OK to make the change permanent.

That's a wierd one. I'm guessing that the page he has setup as the home page is one that has the music on it. This would make it play the music because it loads this page everytime you open a new browser window. If you change the home page to something else it would stop.

That would be assuming that my hunch is correct
