Wow ...I'm glad to read this from a Woman's perspective! It's refreshing to see that I'm not the only person that sees Terrell Owens as a troubled teenager without a Father figure in his life. I really think the guy had a rough upbringing and never got over some of the larger issues in his life. I feel that trusting Male authority figures is one of his central issues. He only responds when he is firmly treated ....just like a child.
That is probably why everyone assumed Parcells could handle him this year in Dallas. But I think Owens is orbiting somewhere outside our Universe these days with some of the comments coming from him. He's really just a lost little boy and I feel sorry for him.
I don't excuse anything he's done but I do understand everything he has done is a cry for help. Is he married? Dating anyone? Maybe you've got a point about him being confused about his sexual orientation. He did point the finger at Garcia as you stated and usually those that point the finger only do so because they see the same in themselves.
Good post = )

There are not far worse team mates in sports than Terrell Owens nor has there ever been. The first guys response was completely off base. Barber and Strahan have been around a long time and never been a problem before, Coughlin is the problem for the Giants, and Burress is one of the other worst teammates in the NFL because he doesnt play hard. But TO is a nuissance and would never be welcome to play here in Pittsburgh. The year he went to the Super Bowl with the eagles I had forgiven him and thought man maybe it was just he didnt like what was going down in San Fransisco, but he has been on three teams now and he has had issues with all three that he felt like he needed to tell the media about. He should not be wearing an NFL uniform next season and who ever does have him on their team will pay the consequences. Not to mention he is over rated, there are atleast ten recievers in the league better than him now.

I'm not the biggest TO fan but He does have a point. For example when he fell asleep in the team meeting...how the hell did that get to the press? If its just coaches and players. I wouldn't be surprised if somebody was getting paid to tell stuff on T.O. The T.O. story won't be so huge if the media didn't insist on making it that way. If i was coach Parcells I wouldn't allow the media to talk to T.O or vice versa. IMO the media doesn't need to be at the training facilities in the locker rooms etc. The media is just a bunch of scum suckers that are just out to create drama. The only media that should be allowed to talk to football players are former players turned broadcasters. Because they get to the straight heart of everything and don't create his "good TV" crap that is ruining the game.

I am starting to think that it is a wide receiver thing. Ashley Lelie pulled TOish garbage this year. He wanted to be named the #1 wide receiver or he was leaving Denver. He refused to compete for the job, which he would not have gotten based on the skills of his competition. Randy Moss whines about not "fitting in" with his teamates, Jerry Porter too. The position should be renamed to Whiny Receivers the Divas of Football! Gone are the stand-up wide receivers who play for the love of the game! Where is Jerry when you need him?

I am sick of clueless clowns trying to villainize T.O. First the mess with Philly was overplayed and blamed on him. Granted, he should not be falling asleep in team meetings, but can you honestly say that he is the only player that does that? Then he was suspended indefinitely for speaking the truth. For all you T.O. critics who immediately begin criticize once you see his name on some trumped up media tangent, he simply said that "The team goes as he (Donovan McNabb) goes. He is not playing well right now but it is because he is injured." He said the man was not playing well because he was INJURED!!! That is not a potshot at his ability to lead the team or his perfomance. He is simply acknowledging that the mans play was suffering due to injury. What is wrong with that? Then the year before, he busted his behind to play in the Super Bowl after suffering a broken leg. If Brett Favre would have done that, he would have been a 'true leader', 'courageous' or a 'real competitor.' But T.O. was labeled as "selfish"??? What kind of crap is that. And finally, somebody is bringing in house issues to the media. Everybody wants to ***** and complain about the distractions he brings, but yet the media creates the distraction!!! If they were not always looking for a way to villainize the man, or simply ignore him when he speaks or acts out of bounds, there would be no distraction. Furthermore, what kind of teamate goes out of their way to keep crap like this going? Even further, If Bill Parcells was the disciplinarian and "no non-sense" personality that the media paints him to be, he would address the snitch as and deem him just as distrating as T.O.'s antics and encourage his players to keep the inhouse crap inhouse. Looking back, the same can be said about Donovan McNabb. He was painted as the victim the "green and winless" saga in Philly. If he is such a leader, why did he not take initative to address the issues and have them resolved within the team and not the media spot light. I don't give a @#* what anyone says. If one player ruins a team, that is the coaches fault first, designated players in the role of leaderships fault second and finally the rest of team. Everybody is trying to fuel this witch hunt by harping on the fact that he leads the league in drops. Okay, but a closer examination of that fact would exhibit that he also among the top ten in the league in receving yards, recieving touchdown and just outside of the top ten in receptions. Guess what geniouses? That would lead one to conclude that although he is dropping more balls, he is getting more thrown to him and catching more of them than the majority of the rest at his position. Get off his back. Except that T.O. will be T.O. That he is at times uncessarily outspoken and possibly does act out to get attention. You clowns keep giving him what he wants!!! "He is so negative!" "He is a bad teamate!" "He kills team chemistry!" Whatever!!! He is damn near being painted as the anti-christ when we have players in the league right now with T.O. that have had murder charges brought against them, been busted for drug trafficking, spit on women in restaurants, jump on people outside of nightclubs and knowing take steroids and claim that they thought they were Flintstone vitamins!!! Give me a break!!

I think Parcells said it best last week when they were questioning him about T.O. not "listening" to his speech about what championship teams do. Parcells said that the media is sucked in by T.O., and he's right. Whatever this guy does, no matter how insignificant, there is someone there to report it.

It is at the point where everyone should realize that TO is the problem not whatever team he is on. He is not that great anymore and if the Cowboys are smart they will drop his butt. Good luck to that clown finding another team.
