Full term is considered 37 weeks, so more than likely your Ob won't induce you before that. You can ask your Doctor, what's the worst, they say No? I asked my Doc. and he induced me at 39 weeks. Many Doc's won't induce unless something is wrong, babies heart beat slow, your BP is high, stuff like that, but you can always ask. The Doc's just want you farther along, so that way everything is developed and the baby can survive, but as of right now, you are to early, the baby needs to grow more. But good luck, just relax and try not to stress out. Find something to help you chill and relax.

Babycenter.com will be able to give you a lot of accurate info & detail about your baby's development in utero.

I would recommend that you take a long, hard look at your reasons for wanting to be induced, and that you make this decision as a mother based on what's good for your baby, and not on your personal comfort levels! Your baby's lungs will only be ready to breathe air around 34 weeks or so. Your OB won't even think about inducing (unless medically neccessary) before 38 week (which is considered full term)

If you are really ill, there are some things your OB will be able to suggest or prescribe to help you feel better - throwing up too much is not good for you or your baby. Warm baths will also help to relieve some of the weight & pressure of the baby on your body.

HTH!

Sorry dear but you have to make it to at least 38 weeks unless there is a life threatening reason. Inducing before 38 weeks would cause much more harm to your baby than being sick or stressing out.
It sucks that you are sick all the time and that you are stressed out...but nobody ever said that pregnancy was easy!
Consult with your doctor and see if they have any suggestions on how to help. In the meantime...please know that having your baby this early could possibly cause it to die. There is a reason why pregnant women are supposed to stay pregnant for 40 weeks.
Good luck!

Most doctors wont induce until you are 37 weeks pregnant so you still have about 11 weeks to go. Also it is better for you baby to stay inside as long as possible it gives it time to have its lungs mature. You might be able to convince the doctor to induce but some doctors wont do it unless the baby is under stress or you have a really good medical reason for the inducement good luck I know how you feel my pregnancy has really sucked for me also. Good thing She will be born tomorrow I am not getting induced just so you know the doctor scheduled me for a c-section. Good Luck

At 26 weeks, you cannot be induced unless there is a major medical issue. Your baby would be VERY sick. A baby is considered full term at 37 weeks. However, most doctors will not induce (unless there is a problem) before 38-39 weeks.

You wont and shouldn't be induced at 26 weeks. Doctors wait to do that when you are closer to your due date or at least 37 weeks pregnant. In most cases you have to have a valid reason to be induced.

It's better for the baby to be in your belly for as long as it can be. It's safer in there, then in this world! Be patient, everyone stresses out.

Yes you can get induced, but only up to a week early at 39 weeks.
Delivery can be done as early as 32 weeks and have very little complications, but you will not find a doctor that will induce then.
For a successful induction they are going to require that you have dialated some as well.
I would talk to your OBGYN more on being sick and possible anxiety stress related problems, this can be fixed making your pregnancy more pleasurable.
Ask about a drug used to control it, I know it disolves under your tounge its used for chemo patients but is very effective at pregnancy nausea I took it till almost 7 months pregnant with my last child, however it does cause constipation so you need to up your fiber or drink a cup of coffee a day to help.

Most Dr. wont even consider this at all, unless you are close to your due date. But i dont think you will find any Dr that would do it before 36-38th week at the earliest. AS for as being sick, it can take its toll, I know. I was sick for nearly the whole 9 months one way or the other. NEver got over the nausea. I lost 25 lbs in the first 5 months, and only gained 2 lbs from my orginal weight before i was preg. YOu need to do your best to get lots of rest, Talk to your dr. about your sickness and your stress. Having the baby to early is way worse than, what is happening now.

Naturally you want to wait until the baby is ready. I have had three and I know the feeling of wanted to be induced, I had my last two induced and I ended up in labor longer than I had to be just because the babies weren't ready to be born. They were both born healthy and I am truly Blessed. You really have to have good reason to be induced in order for most doctors to even consider it (most dr.'s are againist it unless it's a problem with mom or baby) Good Luck! It doesn't hurt to ask...

Doctors will not induce you until you are at least 37 1/2 weeks. So you've got a little ways. And some doctors won't even induce you unless there is a medical emergency. You'll have to check with your doctor. Just ask if she does elective inductions and if she doesn't then you'll just have to wait it out. Sorry hope it gets better.
