I dropped out of community college because it was plain boring. I got accepted into a university for fashion -- one of my top interests while I was a Senior in highschool, but decided not to go because of money/"afraid to leave the nest" reasons. Now, I'm stuck in a rut and I would love to "go-away" to university. Problem is, I don't know if its possible to apply again to the university I wanted to go to. I have absolutely no credit for attending community college..all I have is what I have done in highschool under my belt. Will I be accepted again?

Send an Email to the admissions office and tell them that you were admitted before and would like to attend now. Tell them that you were not ready for college at the time but you are ready now. Since you have no Community College credits, I wouldn't even tell them that you went -- since it doesn't help you at all.

They will probably tell you to apply again. However, they might admit you for the next session or academic year without going through the admissions process again. They will not tell you that you can't reapply.

Good luck.

PS -- Ignore the first response. He is obviously unaware that the software always adds a "?" automatically -- so you didn't put it at the end of a declarative sentence. And do you really need grammar advice from someone who doesn't understand how to use punctuation himself (note the missing commas)?

Call them and ask them to send you an application. Then fill it out and and send it back. In the meantime, you might want to take more interesting courses at the community college, such as art or art history while you're waiting for an answer. You might also consider getting a job to help with finances because chances are you will be accepted again. I've never really known a speciality school to refuse any students.

It's your life, do what you want to do. I am assuming you got accepted to this university based on what you did in high school so I fail to see the problem here. Maybe I'm just that dense. Maybe you should just build up credits at the community college and then transfer to where ever you want to go. That's what I'm doing and it was alot easier compared to a 4 year school and it's easier on the wallet too.

Are you sure that this fashion school is a University? Are you sure it's not some type of vocational school? If it is, I'd rethink community college and just go through it and transfer to a "real" University.

Go with what you feel is best, no one can make a life decision for you.

@blueprince:
Yahoo automatically puts the question mark for you, regardless of what you put in. Dangling prepositions are more and more widely acceptable because without them, sentences tend to become wordier and less direct and to the point.

I don't see why you shouldn't apply again. However, I honestly doubt university will be less boring than community college, unless you were taking classes you have absolutely no interest in.

From what I found out, if you have attended college after high school, you are considered a transfer student and should apply as a transfer student and compete with other transfer applicants.

And from what I found out, yes, they know and will bite you in the *** about everything.

You can't be sure until you try to find out. What can be worse than always asking what could have happened if ... I think everybody deserves a second chance, but remember: sometimes there is not the third one.

First you need to learn to not put a question mark at the end of a declarative statement (like the title of your question).

Second you need to learn to re-form your sentences to not use dangling prepositions.

Third, you should stick with community college.
