For other uses, see Burrito (disambiguation).

A large burrito.A burrito is a Mexican dish usually consisting of a meat such as beef, chicken, or pork wrapped in a flour tortilla. In northern Mexico—the only region of Mexico in which burritos are generally found—the meat is usually the only filling, and the burrito is rolled fairly thin. In the United States, however, fillings generally include other ingredients such as rice, beans, lettuce, tomatoes, and salsa, and the result is considerably fatter. It's made with a flour tortilla that has meat, beans, cheese, onions, tomatoes, etc. inside the tortilla.

There are many variations of the burrito depending on what ingredients people like inside.

If you've never had a burrito, you really need to try one!

Literal translation: a little donkey!

Assuming that you've not been totally over-exposed at a tender age to Taco Hell, you should try one almost anywhere in the Mission and go all out & order yourself up Super Burrito (veggie or meat of yer choice), then sit back and enjoy all those beans, rice, meat, cheese, salsa, sour cream, and avocado rolled into a warm flour tortilla . . .

Just be real hungry - they can come pretty big!
