I am (or was) pretty slim and started showing immediately (within a month of finding out)! I am now a little over 18 weeks and my stomach is hard and out there. I am 5'9" and have gone from 130 to 148 already. I am trying to watch what I eat now though and not gain so fast anymore. Also-a woman pretty much sucks in her whole life, so when you get pregnant it's like letting out a deep breath and leaving it that way. I think that's one of the reasons I am showing so much. I want to-I'd rather show then just look chunky. Also my stomach hurts all the time-like pulling, nagging, stretching, almost like cramping. I guess the ligaments are really stretching or something. Good luck!

It's probably just gas! No, seriously...when women begin to show early, it is usually because the bowels are being extended, the body is retaining excess fluids, or it's gas. Even if you had 5 babies in there right now...they are soooooo tiny, they can't make you show. It is possible that you are further along than you thought..but even at 3 months and four months...it's not the size of the baby that makes you show...it's all the stuff going on in there!
I was pregnant with triplets last October and didn't even show until 3 months...and it wasn't the babies. I miscarried them at 16 weeks and they were still so tiny that they just looked like little kidney beans on the ultrasound.
I am now 36 weeks with one very healthy baby girl.
Good luck and CONGRATS!!

I am totally on the same page. We just found out we are expecting our 2nd child. We go to the doc on the 28th and I feel the same way... I feel as if I am already showing, my pants are too tight and make my stomach hurt. With our first (which was just 3 years ago) I didn't start to show until around 6 months So this is really freaking me out.... Sorry I cant help but I sure do relate!

calm down...take a deep breath and relax,.....pause....relax.
I had my second baby when I was 31 too, yuo just get bigger faster, does not mean it is twins...twins would come from his side, are there any twins in his family..if so then maybe that is the case, but relax, chill,
You are a lucky girl w/seemingly a great guy just be happy that you are lucky....one or two, either way, a blessing....good luck.

This is totally normal with a second baby. The body remembers what to do and jumps ahead. :] Sure it could be twins, but likely not. I had the same thing with my second.
