Either they love them or they hate them or are obbsessed with them. I know male singers do the same but lately its alot of female singers. Always about the opposite sex. Christina did sing about other things. Shakira's songs donde estan los landroes and poem to a horse wasnt a guy song. Is that all they think about. Men men men.

If you know more, please add to the list. If you know some who sing about other things, add them too.

Believe me i do not listen to these kind of 'artists'. You hear their songs being played everywhere. Even in your home because some stupid neighbours think its cool.

Because - put bluntly - sex sells. By this, I don't necessarily mean anything ovbiouslyt sexual, but the idea of thinking about the opposite sex seems sexual most of the time to me. It's also a foolproof sunbect for songwriting , which is why so many songs generally are about the opposite sex.
Also, they artists mentioned above are straight. Therefore they wouldn't sing about other women either (So few female artists do that, and it annoys me tbh).

They are in the bimbo fluff group of singers and, apparently, that's all people who listen to that kind of music want to hear. I question their ability to understand anything deeper. There are plenty of people/groups who write intelligent, contemplative, conscientious songs about world issues; you're just not listening in the right places. Style of music or personal issues aside, try the Dixie Chicks new song, Not Ready to Make Nice. Try anything U-2. How about the Indigo Girls? You want intelligent lyrics, find intelligent people. Get away from the fluff music and you'll hear something more than fluff. If you want to listen to that kind of music, then be prepared to take the lyrics as they are.

Because it sells... although that's stereotyping-just like this-
They (your pop icons) sing about men and love...
country stars sing about sad love and loss, or jesus stuff...
Rappers rap about guns and drugs and women...
Rockers sing about sex, drugs and rocknroll...
Somebody else had the right idea. If you want to hear music with substance, you're looking in the wrong place. There's plenty of it out there that's worth listening to.

I think because singing about men + their look is a huge market in this industry.

Because they are just nasty and sluttly. And they have nothing to sing about but guys. But on the other hand the male singers sing about girls too. So whats the point.
