Well, it's hard to get to know a poser because they're trying to be someone they're not. So, they're relatively harmless, but not genuine people. Dontcha think?

Posers are pretenders of something they are not. That's not really a problem since all of us have role models or would like to be something more than we are. It's good that we strive to be someone/something that we think is better. If you pretend hard enough and long enough, you may become that better person.

The problem is that posers copy only the image and not the substance of the matter. So they develop an image that they have no background or understanding about. Inevitably, they will hide behind this image because they lack the confidence to show their true self. Others will see through this and think the poser is hiding something, causing relationships and trust to deteriorate,

Personally, I don't hate posers, but pity them for their lack of confidence. People should just be their honest true self, and the world will be a better place.

I always thought posers were people who pretended to be something to be cool, if so then that's the reason... Give me your definition, no I don't care enough to look it up.

once a person is not sincere he will not be a reliable one . then all the other things will be simply a mockery which will not be trustworthy or reliable or of any use- hence the poser does not command any respect

Because people want to think they are unique individuals that came up with a certain style themselves, when actually they are posing someone else somewhere else. It hypocritical.

I don't really care to be honest. I've got my own life to get on with, I'm not bothered about other people and what they do. If they're not hurting me or getting in my way then live and let live I say.
