Yesterday morning, I put some vicks on my chest and fell back asleep for no more than 15 minutes. I woke up, and started rubbing my eyes, forgetting I had vicks on my hands. It's now a day later and my eyes are still extremely red and bloodshot, and are very glassy. Almost to the point where it looks like I am crying, but I'm not. I tried rinsing my eyes our with water, but that didn't do anything. This isn't fun! What do I do? I can't find any help anywhere, and I have finals tomorrow and don't want to go to class looking like I'm either posessed or stoned out of my mind.. lol :) Any help will be appreciated

I think the only thing that will work here is time. Keep washing your face with warm soapy water, to ensure there is none left around the eyes, being careful not to get any in the actual eyes. Your eyes watering will help flush out the irritant. I really wouldn't recommend putting any other chemicals in there, because they are damaged enough, so commercial eye washes wont work.
Try also warm boiled salty water. Use cotton wool and gently bathe the eyes (you could allow this into your eye, it wont hurt).

You will need to continue rinsing your eyes with clear water Which is the recommended procedure for anything that gets in the eyes) or You could check the pharmacy for a product that is a boric acid solution to help clear your eyes. Ask the pharmacist, who will know what you are talking about.
Hope this helps. My Dad used this product for years.

Flush out your eyes as much as possible with water. Dump a whole lot of visine in them. Get a warm washcloth and hold it on top of you eye while it is closed, that will increase the bloodflow to your eye, and decrease the redness.

go to the pharmacy and get some eye rinse. also, see if there is a # on the vicks container. it's probably for ingestion, but if you call i'm sure they can still help

No,i've used it ever since i was a baby. Another thing, next time you get stung by something, dab some on that particular area and it takes the sting away quickly.
