what is a good way to get started and get noticed? im a junior in high school and would really love to go to parsons school of design in new york. please give any and all advice. thanks so much

Start a portfolio, if you have not already done so. Look into getting an internship at some place where they do design. You can do apparel, shoes, accessories, it's endless. Go visit the school to make sure that's where you want to go. There are a lot of really good fashion/design/art schools in Northern California as well.

design and wear all your clothes. that way you will get a lot of practice and when someone asks you where you got your shirt you can say "oh this, i made it" and then you will seem pretty awesome and you'll be on your way to fashion school!
