I think Lauryn Hill is very beautiful and she is my beauty icon. I mentioned how gorgeous I think she is to some co-workers and they thought she was ugly. One of them said that Lauryn's skin is kinda dark and that Beyonce is way prettier than LAuryn because Beyonce has "nice light skin, you would't even know she was black." Another said that unstraightened afro hair looks "dirty" and that LAuryn should straighten her hair.
Does anyone apart from me actually think Lauryn's beautiful?

I think she is gorgeous...inside and out. I think Beyonce is pretty too, but I don't think how close you are to looking white determines your beauty...that really annoys me.

Lauryn Hill is so beautiful! Her skin has a lovely glow, she has amazing expressive eyes, her dreads are neat and look good. What more can I say. Beyonce is very attractive but her look is very different to Lauryn Hill. Beyonce is more media friendly. She is light enough not to offend the middle class, and black enough for the black community around the world.

Yes she is very beautiful I think that's the one thing about her people don't talk about so often but yeah she is, natural hair, cute nose gorgeous lips, pretty eyes. She also doesn't fit in with eurocentric beauty standards wich is a turn off to other people but I don't car I think she looks great the way she is her facial features always stood out to me.

I think that Lauryn Hill is beautiful. Her eyes are gorgeous, and for the co-worker who said that Beyonce is beautiful because she doens't look black, yes she does look black. If your co-worker is white she is racist and if she black she is self-hating. The matter of natural hair vs. chemically relaxed hair. I believe that depends on the person on Lauryn Hill it looks beautiful but I have seen it on others where it didn't. I have seen some black women who don't look good with chemically relaxed hair. Your co-worker (if she is black) seems to have some real issues with being black and if she is white she is just plain racist and jealous. Because lets be real when it gets hot outside who's the first one running outside to get darker. . . .mmmmm

Yes she is beautiful the first thing I noticed about her when I first seen her was how beautiful she was plus I like how she used to have dreads.

I didn't think she was all too attractive even before I saw a couple interviews with her. Her attitude and racial - yes racial - commentary towards caucasions was horrific. This just makes her one of the ugliest people alive. No matter how attractive (which she really isn't) someone is on the outside, the inner self reflects to overshadow that...

Yes, she does have a pretty face but the last time I saw her on TV she looked really skinny and that ain't pretty to me. I just wanted to give her a piece of chicken or something.
