They both sound good, I prefer Disturbed's version because I am much more of a Disturbed fan then I ever was of Genesis. Both videos are great too, the Genesis one has basically become a classic with the puppets and Disturbed's cartoon version with the politicians rocks too. My pick though - Disturbed!

Once again the age old question comes about! Which is better, the old or the new...I have but one thing to say in this case - GENESIS till the end. Not only because of the brilliant video, but they actually believed in the song. Genesis wanted the song to discuss the greed and uncertainty of the Cold War-era in the 1980s, but evoke a sense of hope for the future. Do you honestly think a band like Disturbed gives a damn about the future let alone the past...all they see is the money. Most "kids" don't even know history well enough to understand the meaning behind it!
The other issue with the Disturbed version...what's with the grunts? Anyone who honestly thinks grunting noise works in this song is a fool! I am an artist myself, in a very political charged project and honestly lost all respect for Disturbed when I heard their version of Land of Confusion...

I kind of like both, for totally different reasons.
I'd have to say Genesis, simply because they created the song, whereas Disturbed reinterpreted it.
