Many of the founding fathers were Deists. This allowed them to both believe in God but follow with their path of enlightenment and reason. Deists believe that God created universe, gave man reason and then left us on our own to figure things out.
Franklin, Jefferson, Madison, Monroe were most likely of this persuasion.
Most of the founding fathers believed that religion and politcs don't mix and that they should have no authority over each other.

Of the founding fathers, Thomas Jefferson and Benjiman Franklin could be considered atheists or agnostics (often called "freethinkers today). Franklin was a dedicated atheist since mid-life and Jefferson only came to agnosticism in later life.

Jefferson and Franklin were deists.

I hope you're not trying to prove that the Consitition is designed to be interpreted with a Christian angle.

I believe that pretty much all of the founding fathers were religious. Some were agnostic.
