She lives with her boyfriend, and I am married. No we are not fooling around. Her boyfriend and my wife know we go to lunch and they have no problem with it. We just enjoy each others company. We were co-workers and have remained friends even though we have both changed jobs. Our problem is with other people who see us having lunch. Either her firends or mine will ask us if we are having an affair. How can we stop the questions. No we don't plan on stopping the lunch dates.

Who cares what other people think or say! If everyone who matters is in the know, screw everyone else!

I don't think there's much you can do to stop people from being nosy. The best thing to do is just ignore them. You both are friends so there's nothing wrong with you having lunch. I guess people just have this attitude that a girl and a guy can't be just friends. But I would just ignore and not let anything they say get to you.

OMG people are always trying to start things. There is nothing wrong with having a lunch with a friend who happens to be of the opposite sex. Explain that to your friends.......etc. This world is so self centered lately. If there is no trouble going on they are not happy. Best of luck with that, keep us posted.

I don't see how you can make other people quit being ignorant--unfortunately. Since both of you and your significant others know the truth, try not to let other people bother you, and just continue to enjoy good conversation with a friend.

Some people are just too old fashioned and ignorant to accept the fact that people can have lunch without having sex. It's sad huh? Just dont worry about what people say.

Even though they (your spouses) don't have a problem with it, it is not appropriate. Things happen and you are putting yourself and all involved in a vulnerable position. Take your wife with you or have them over to your place as a couple.
