Been a little frustrated with a friend, and in a bad moment I just sent an email that was meaner than he deserves. Should I call him right now and explain or just let him read it and go from there? I know he's not online now, so I have a few minute, or maybe a few hours... opinions?

The first thing to do is remember never to send an email when you're mad or upset, because you'll end up sending something you didn't mean but you don't realize it until you've calmed down. You could try sending another email and in the subject tell him to read it first. You could explain that you didn't mean to say everything you said and he may not even read it then. You could call him and tell him not to read it. Or you could just let him read it and then you two could talk about whatever it is that's been frustrating you, because you should work that part out too.

That is why when you write emails it is important to wait before you send them, especially when you are angry. Call him and tell him you made a mistake ask him to delete without reading it and hope that he does.

Call and leave a message on his answering machine. Tell him you were venting and you meant to cancel it, but hit the send button by mistake....I can be such a ***** sometimes....>Call me when you get this!

Live and learn. I always tell folks to not set ugly or angry e mails or letters. you will regret them. the only way to make it bette is to have a face to face talk on it.
