What's the best, easiest way to clean your silver jewelry without going out and buying one of those expensive cleaning machines?

use an old toothbrush and some white tooth paste-scrub your little heart out. It is a mild abrasive so it gets the tarnish off and it won't hurt any stones.

I always clean silver with baking soda (sodium hydrogen carbonate). Pour a bit of soda into hand, add very little water so it only becomes humid and use a toothbrush (that's what I always do). You can also try to use toothpaste (it also has sodium hydrogen carbonate in it). I think it will work for gold too. And you can rub it against wool cloth - it will shine more brightly.

what i found that works the best is windex window cleaner the blue kind spray some on your jewelry and or soak in a little solution of windex for 5 min then take a soft tooth brush and scrub rinse with warm water should be sparkling away .works better than any cleaner i know every one i show this too is amazed .
p.s.i have a personal jeweler and he was amazed ,he also said that toothpaste will scratch the stones and ect please heed my warning when i say toothpaste is bad

Go to Wal-Mart and get a silver jewelry polishing cloth (it's in the jewelry section). It lasts a long time and is just wonderful for silver jewelry.

Try this cleaning cloth. You have to buy in packages of 5 but they are only like $3 bucks a piece. I have ordered them and use them on everything, especially cleaning windows and clean mirrors. They are made out of tiny fibers. They are guaranteed not to scratch and all you do is rinse the cloth under water, wring it out and wipe ANY surface with no streaks or scratch. Use em over and over. I have not thrown one away yet!
I even waxed my car with it! I am sold on this ...I encourage you to try it out.

Besides the toothpaste, try using rubbing alcohol and an old tooth brush, then rinse with clear water and dry.
