I'm sorry my good friend, you're dealing with a Republican president. Things are different now. You see, all Clinton cared about was his poll numbers and his legacy, and look where it got him. Doris Kearns Goodwin won't live forever, other historians won't be nearly as generous I assure you.

This President, you see, leads through principal not polls. As a Republican, he steps on my feet, nearly as many times he'll step on yours. It's called leadership, look it up.

True leaders don't focus on how they'll be regarded in history, they're too busy making history to be concerned. Clinton spoiled us in the 90's when we thought that there was no harm in keeping self-righteous baboons in the White House. In fact, what we needed in the presence of the USS Cole attack, the first World Trade Center Attack, Mogadishu, "Need I really go on?", was a leader with Principals. Wasn't to be until Bush I guess.

The fact is, as long as Bush continues to hold to his principals, keeping with the knowledge that he cannot abandon these troops, nor this war, for the sake of a few Froot Loops with no plan of their own, I think his legacy will be just fine.

Why is it every time I speak to Liberals, I feel like Jack Nicholson in "A Few Good Men", when he shouts "You can't handle the truth!!!"

He cannot save his legacy. He has already established that he will do whatever it takes to get his way. Instead of representing the American people, he chose to go it alone. Good job, Prez.
