What is seen in Media is only an eye wash. Definitely there is a differ rent angle to this. The Land Ceiling Act came into force in 1970's. YSR is an active politician right from his college days. He pretty well knows about The LC Act but why he kept quiet all these 3 decades. What made him to realise now announce surrender of those ceiling lands. Like the Telugu saying " LOGUTTU PERUMALLA KERUKA" only Lord Sri Venkateshwara Swami or since YSR is a christian Jesus Christ know the secret. What even it may be it shocking to now in these days a family can hold such a huge extent of land. But one thing for sure YSR gave a definition to political corruption. Thank God no American official go to India for vacation other wise they would brought our Indian brand of corruption to USA made lives of Americans miserable.
