I've had a lot of white hair since I was young. Does anyone know what causes it? My mom has it too... and so did my grandma. Is there any way to treat it? I don't want to keep dying my hair.

genetics, what you see is what you get, no going back to the factory for readjustment on color or any other traits, do what you think is best, ignore the rest

White hair is lovely. Going gray early is genetic but you cannot treat it with hormones, so please don't try.

Look at Taylor Hicks and George Clooney: they are gorgeous and they are gray.

People pay tons of money to get white hair and you are dying yours. Why not just try it natural and see how you like it. It certainly makes a fashion statement. I am sure you will love the reaction to the white hair when you let it go natural.

I have a white streak at the front of my hair. I used to dye it but gave up when I was in my 20s. I like it, its a unique part of me, my silevr streak :)
You cant change it, its "written" in your genetic make up. Be proud of your difference...;

early gray hair is genetic. It sounds like it could be treated by hormone replacement therapy. You may want to see an endocrine doctor.
