It is helping us to recycle because instead of us just putting used paper underground, we can recycle it and reuse it, so that there can be room for things that cannot be recycled underground. If people don't recycle are world is going to turn into a huge dump site pretty quickly!

I think it hurts us cause, what if we NEVER recycle? Even though we have things abundant, it might become a rare source in another time that might not be far away. Then people would probably have to pay a lot of money for that source. Then on top of that we gotta keep the earth clean anyway.
