Well, I have to bounce around between anime, so I'm obsessed with anime in general, but here are my suggestions:
1. Mai-HiME - a girl of the modern era is mashed between a rock and a hard place as she struggles through life, and learns of a special power that's been locked inside her waiting to awaken. When she finds her one true love, nothing will stop her from saving his life... even if it means giving up her own! (Magic Girl, Comedy, Drama, Action, Romance)
2. Naruto - The village dropout is trying to prove he's worthy of the title Hokage, but that's easier said than done... especially if the girl of his dreams and his rival are both on the same squad as him! Did I mention he also posesses a demon inside him? (Comedy, Action, Violence, Drama, Ninjas!)
3. InuYasha - a girl travels back in time to the feudal era and falls in love with a half demon, even if she knows he's in love with another woman. (Romance, Comedy, Drama, Action, Violence)

Kare Kano is a very intense college romance. Ouran intense college is a romantic comedy. wedding ceremony Peach is magical female yet fairly humorous and has some romance. Itazura na Kiss is a romantic about a woman who falls in love with the best guy in college yet she is between the dumbest ladies in college. it truly is all i can imagine of on the instantaneous. i'm hoping those help!

Try Inuyasha or Fruits Basket...both have love stories, but Inu has a bit more action.

"Fullmetal Alchemist," definitely. It's got humor, deception, mystery, and explores an amazing bond between two brothers. It's simply lovely with something for everyone.
