My husband's step mother was going thru menopause while I was pregnant with her grandchild and all of a sudden she started going crazy, she filed for divorce and gave him pills for high blood pressure that were actually made for people who have ceasars. Now I will not allow her in my son's life because she was crazy and she wasn't there thru all my pain, I want to know could this have been because of menopause and should I blame her for these mistakes. Also, should I allow her in my son's life?

No. Women going through menopause have mood swings, hot flashes, etc. but do not do crazy things like give people pills that are not what they should be. I think she has more then menopause going on and I wouldn't let her near my son without me right by his side.

I'm no expert but I don't think menopause can cause a person to do extremely crazy things such as you have mentioned. Menopause is mostly physical not mental.
