I thought just his brother Dozer died. I knew that he got injured, but I didn't see any hints as to whether he was going to die from it.

I think he just got transfered to a differnt crew or retired, he did get severally injured =)

Yeah, supposedly Marcus Chong made a ruckus (something like overturing a table) at some movie event involving the producers and then asked for more money. They said "see ya" and wrote him out of the sequels. In Reloaded when Zee talks to Link in their home she mentions losing her brothers Tank and Dozer to the Nebecanezzer ship - effectively giving the exposition that Tank had died sometime between the two films.

At one point Zee mentions that she lost both brothers, Tank and Dozer, and didn't want to lose Link, whom she was dating.

There was a great deal of controversy around Tank not coming back, the actor wanted more money than the company was willing to give him.

They killed the Character off between the ending of The Matrix and the start of The Matrix Reloaded.

In reality the actor was asking for way too much cash.. so they had to let him go.

Seems reality is stranger than fiction.

Yea Tank is pretty much and assumed "retired" character in reality its liek jack said he wanted too much mulah so they let him go MATRIX FTW
