Yes. All of us can expect to be offended at some point. That's just life.

I think political correctness is dying the slow death it deserves. It's clear it was a liberal attempt of redefining acceptable speech for conservatives, which is tantamount to censorship.

In the early 90's, when it was in full bloom, it became clear to me that this is exactly what Democrats were about. They preach one thing, and do the other. I think Bill Clinton was a perfect example of their "Poster Child", someone who would proudly sign into legislation anti-sexual harrassment laws as one of his first acts as President only to find himself digging his own way out of the most sensational Sexual Harrassment lawsuit ever waged while he was still Governor of Arkansas.

I think some organizations and people go way too far to be politically correct or overly sensitive. But then other people overrreact to try to be as offensive as possible supposedly in the name of "fighting for free speech."

the real question is; are we TO politically correct? i feel there is to much hype there. any where you go any time, there is some one to complain about being offended. freedom of speech is all but dead now. say thank you to the overly sensitive people. 70% of them are just really jumping on the band wagon. i used to very out spoken, but not insulting. after being sued over giving my opinion, which was asked from me, i keep my thoughts to my self. that scares the freak, cry baby, woe me,idiots, even more,it seems like. when they ask me what i think now, i smile and tell them, they really don't want to know, they can't handle the truth, then i walk away.

Political correctness is a bunch of people lying to each other.
Stupid, crippled, fat, skinny, retarted, old, these are all descriptive words that are in our language that nobody wants to use anymore because its the truth.
Lets keep BSing each other and see what happens.
Merry Christmas to the multitudes !

Yes, and we get it from ALL sides: liberal, conservative, those who don't acknowledge the
ideological spectrum, religious, non-religious...
ALL sides. Indeed, we are too politically correct. One effect is that discussion veers off important issues and falls into stupid squabbling.
