I'm from Edinburgh and there's no place like Scotland. When I was younger I wished I lived in America but as I've got older and visited other countries and cultures I've realised there's no other place I'd rather be. I particularly love the highlands and would love to live there someday. You get good and bad people everywhere but the majority of Scottish people are friendly, helpful and accepting.

I am proud to be Scottish and will live here till I die, just wish the weather was a bit more tropical, but hey you can't have everything!

I from Glasgow and proud to be Scottish. I love our countryside, lochs, history and sense of humour. When I'm abroad on holiday people love to listen to my accent. I hate it when the English can't pronounce the word "loch" [why do they find this so difficult?] and when a Scottish sportsperson does well he or she is referred to as British on the National News but if they are from England they're not referred to as British.

I'm from the Highlands. I love everything about being Scottish. Obviously the best thing is the weather. And the worst thing? The neighbours.

I like to walk up the high street on a windy day and watch the men's kilts fly up - it's true you know - they don't wear anything underneath - (only for dancing)

I'm English, but I'd have to agree with Luggerbug. We've never understood why you dislike us, not least considering the large amount of money we give you out of our taxes. We don't dislike the Scots (in general, although I think given the recent particullarly bad vibes we've been getting some people are changing their minds) and we bear no ill feeling, so why?
