I like to laugh at the shivering idiots wearing miniskirts and boots because they thought it would be "cute" as their knees slowly succumb to frostbite, personally.

The nicest thing about winter is that it is a time of rest and taking stock of the previous year's events, growth and activity. Just as in Nature, winter is a time to "recharge" for all of us and to re-evaluate what we might need for the next round of activity when winter is over. In the far North, winter is a time to just be together and to enjoy one another's company. While this is a bit difficult in our far-flung life styles these days, it is still possible during the several Holiday opportunities for family get-togethers. These are rare and choice times to use the winter months for the highest purpose possible.

You see who's acclimated to the regional climate. Most anyone can wear a pair of shorts and short sleeves in July. Only those who have become native to the clime will wear the same in winter. Flip-flops tho, nah, extremties and ice-water puddles don't mix.

Yea those flip-flops can be really annoying can't they?
What I like about winter is that it is the fourth season that gives you pause to breath, and rest for the coming of Spring, which in turn readies you for Summer!
Yep! Winter lets me know just how sweet summer is. That's what I like about it.

I like how the whole area seems like it is deep in hybernation. I like the peace and quiet of walking through the woods as night falls and the snow is falling.
I know that sounds sappy, but I am a single mother of two small boys. I get my pleasures where I can.
