Yes. The best thing for my post-partum depression was giving up all sugar and sweeteners. Totally cured my depression after just a few weeks. As a bonus I also not only achieved my pre-pregnancy weight, but dropped 7 lb below it.

The public health nurse who visits new moms here says post-partum depression can happen anytime during the first year, so you shouldn't assume that you are ok just because it starts later.

Yes. This is not unusual. Help is available. Don't look for medication to solve everything (though it can help a lot) but also seek other help and support.
You may feel more comfortable asking for help from a mix of differing sources or from one source: professionals, support groups, friends, family, neighbors. Only you can decide this.
I would suggest you speak to your Doctor first.

Yes it is!! I had it bad too. So, I know how you feel. I think why us woman get it is because of the lack of sleep that we get. I think that when you are missing so much sleep, your mind starts puting weird thoughts in your brain. It can be really scary. I suggest that you go to your OB/GYN and talk to him about what you've been feeling. Good Luck!!

Yes. You can get it anytime. Go to the doctor. They can put you on meds that will help a TON. Also they have meds that are safe to take while breastfeeding if you are doing that. Good luck
