I want to know if I can record from my TWC DV-R Cable box to my VHS recorder. If so, how and what do I need?

A set of RCA cables should do it. RCA out on the cable box to RCA inputs on the VHS recorder. Then tune the VCR to Aux In to record. A note of caution, many digital cable boxes have Macrovision copy protection on their A/V outputs which may cause severe picture distortion. There are devices available which will strip Macrovision protection and they're typically marketed as Video Stabilizers. Just search on google for them if necessary.
