Ouch...Your funny questions are much easier to answer eh.

It depends on SO many things....are you still really close with your ex... do you trust her implicitly...Do you like her partner? Would they make good parents? Are you ready for the responsibilities of a child OR if they do not want you involved with the child, are you ready for the emotional impact of knowing YOUR child is out there, and you can't be a part of him/her. Can you, and are you willing to financially support the child if they were to split, as the court system would make you.
Would it feel right?
(Usually I am only good at two things when answering questions... being a *****, or being a brat...but I'm tryin' here hun....)
So, if you answered NO to anything above... please don't do it~there are other people, and other places (sperm banks) for them to go to if you say no.

I once had to consider that Q, though not under quite the same circumstances.
I concluded that it is my intention that any child of my blood be raised in my household, with me as father, in a relatively traditional arrangement.
I don't object to others doing the non-traditional family thing, but I know what worked for me, and that's want I'd want for any child of mine. I've seen things get awfully complicated.
Therefore, my seed didn't get planted in the proffered garden.

Your exwife should continue to life without men.

As long as they never asked for any financial help raising it and you could be completely free from any form of liability and especially if they were gonna pay you for the sperm, I'd do it. What's the big deal?

I wouldn't do it. You would still be held financially responsible if they descide to split down the road even if you sign off your rights to the child. The court will make sure that child is paid for if custody support is needed and if its your DNA.. Your screwed.

Don't they have a sperm bank to go too?

Personally, I don't think I would do it myself. You would have to find out how much involvement you would have with this child. I totally agree with what "joyceeleann" said in her answer..that is something you really must consider as well.

Good luck.

As long as they didn't try to shut me out of the childs life then I'd say only if I can deposit it in you, lol. But just as long as they don't try to keep you from the child it shouldn't be a problem i guess.
