Not much! Once they do all of the blood work and ultrasound etc...the rest of your appointments are pretty uneventful...until the 36th week.
At all of your appointments, you will pee in a cup, then they will take your weight, blood pressure...listen to the baby's heartrate and possibly measure the size of your uterus to make sure it is growing steadily. Ask you if you have any questions...send you on your way.
There are some little tests they may offer if you haven't already had them...like the glucose test where you have to drink a bottle of nastty stuff, wait an hour and then have your blood drawn. You will probably also have one maybe two more ultrasounds.. But other than that...pretty uneventful. At 36 weeks when you start going to the doctor EVERY WEEK...they will check your cervix every time you go...and will also test for Strep B. Then before ya know it...it's birth day!
Good luck and Congratulations!

I wouldn't worry, just because your uterus is bigger than average for 24 weeks doesn't mean the actual baby is. Every woman's body is different and we're not all going to measure at the same spot during the same week. If it was an actual doctor measuring you I'm sure they wouldn't have made a big deal over it unless you are drastically bigger. And at your stage everything is being squished upwards and it's a lot harder to differentiate the top of your uterus from your other organs, at least for me it is. They may suspect you're carrying extra amniotic fluid and that's why they want to do an ultrasound. Because that can be a sign of a problem. But don't worry, if it was dire then they would be doing an ultrasound right away. Good luck and congrats!

We always did the heartbeat thing, but have you done the glucose yet? Mine was around 20 weeks too, but you didnt specify that before. Drink orangey soda and wait 1 hour then do blood test, to check for diabeties. Not so bad just have to stay in office till done.

Just had mine last week. I had an ultrasound, peed in the cup and he checked the heartbeat....normal appointment. I think the 28 week check up is when they do something extra.

Probably just ask you how you feel and listen to the heart beat.
Thats all we ever do at my check ups. Besides the whole peeing in a cup thing.
