Tax professionals are not the only employees to work LONG hours. Several careers with up to 80 hour weeks come to mind in my world of finance careers. While not always, you are usually somewhat compensated for this in your bonus. And again, it is your choice of career and time allocation.

No, as long as you're paid for your time. You don't HAVE to work those long hours. You CHOOSE to work them.

as long as they are being paid for each hour's work, they do not have any complaints.
