I have my Compaq hooked up to my Lexmark X75. Have you gone to Lexmark to see if maybe you need to install a driver? Or sometimes you need to reinstall the printer. I've heard of a few printers that won't work with some computers, but that's rare.

Yes, any printer will work with any computer. You just need to install the drivers that come with the printer (usually on a CD), and you should install the software too.

It'll work fine... assuming there's nothing wrong with the printer. Did you try downloading / installing drivers from the Lexmark web site?

Yes. Any printer is compatible with computers. It's like saying that Dell has to make their own printers for their own computers. wrong. They go by USB ports. So the computer should be able to read the printer. You're good to go!
