1. If you know your passion in life and can make a money doing it... That's the best way to become rich. You'll love what you do and you'll be good at it. What I mean is if you are passionate about health issues and helping people, you could become a doctor.
2. Never be dishonest!!! You'll fail faster than you can say the word. Being rich is not everything, you must also have integrity. A good name is far better than all the riches in the world. Cause money can't buy you love or true friends.
3. Effective activities would include goal setting, writing down what you wish to accomplish and working toward reaching each goal. Then set another goal, a higher one. When you acheive that goal keep going. Tell others of your goals, that'll help you acheive them. Write them down and read them every day and ask yourself, "what can I do to get closer to that goal today?" Then follow up on that.
4. Start a savings account and put in at least 10 percent of your income every pay period, if you can afford it. If you cannot afford 10% then put in what you can, but do it every pay period, do not miss and DO NOT EVER touch this money for anything but emergencies, at least until you are older and have more knowledge as to what to do with your huge account.
5. Give back to the community where you live. Maybe it will be giving to church or volunteering at a homeless shelter. Visit those in a retirement home. Do something that will make you feel needed and important. You'll learn valuable lessons from this that you could not buy in any school.
You do these things and you'll be successful in life and rich, both monetarily and spiritually.
I give you my best for following your passion.

Start saving as early as possible. Make that savings automatic. Invest for the long term in boring investments such as stock index funds and bonds. Also buy your own home. Homeowners accumulate far more wealth than renters. Probably most important, live beneath your means! Don't keep buying crap and trying to keep up with the Joneses.
There's a great book called the Automatic Millionaire by David Bach that discusses exactly how to do this. I highly recommend you read it.
Here's a short article that talks about it too.
