It started when it was wet out it wouldnt start at all.I replaced rotor distributor cap and coil.It started fine for a week or so.Now it will turn over but will not start most times unless I turn the key to power on fuel pump turn it back off and repeat for about 10mins. Help! I did have someone check fuel pump it is said to be fine. It is a gmc safari with about 140000 miles on it. he put c-foam in the gas tank. also when i changed rotor dist. cap and coil I sprayed everything down with silicone.Could it be as simple as plugs? Is there a way to check injectors without removing them?

Well if you are keeping the van then, have it towed and have it put on diagnostics which will run about 100 bucks. that way you can tell if it is fuel or ignition. With the fuel pump only needing to build up pressure my bet is on a filter that has decided to go bad. I would start with the inline filter then the in tank strainer

I would try the cheap things first, like the fuel pump relay and fuel filter and even check the fuel pressure. You can buy a cheap fuel pressure tester at the parts house for under 20 dollars.
