My sons are pretty sloppy with their disc maintenace and constantly trash expensive media such as 360 games and the like I have been wondering is it possible to copy my own games for back up purposes to the 360 hard drive and just boot it from there? or can i get some type of mod chip fitted and just clone the game to another disc? my friend tells me I cant copy the games to a disc as the copy software only copies the warnng or something please clarify my options for me.

there are mod chips available for the 360, to a google search and you will find one in seconds. You will have to mod the unit to play copied games. You will then also be able to store entire games on the hard drive and play them from there.

Different chips have different functionality, but the basic idea is to unlock the console to allow the user to do more with it.

You can get a mod chip installed in your 360 - it is about $150 Canadian. It allows you to play downloaded games from the internet and retail games - well worth the investment since each game is around $60. You will never have to buy another game again.
