That's sort of unbelieable when your at work and there's nothing to do. According to your job description you may want to get ahead of yourself, do tommorrow's work. Go help someone else out who do have work. If the boss sees you not doing anythinng it may not look good. One thing you can do is get an early out leave and find something else to do. Good Luck and hopes that puts something on your plate.

If there is no work to be done at all, and no one to reach out and help still try to be productive.
At my old work place I used to take the initiative and create things for them like volunteer duty descriptions, and I got reconginzed for it. It definetly helps you learn and helps the employer know that you are doing something useful that you weren't even asked to do.
I guess if there is still nothing to do at all, I try to do something productive like read a book for the upcoming semester of school, read a book in general, organize my home files, pay bills, clean out my purse, make to do lists, it really helps me organize my life when I need it to be.
