I had the catalytic converter replaced about 8 months ago, but now the car is stalling when I accelerate. There is no engine light and it starts and idles just fine. When I get on the road it lurches and doesn't get past 30mph. I have recently replace the spark plugs(wires didn't need it) fuel filter, transmission filter and the engine oil. It was running fine for a while after all these changes, but ran like crap this cold morning. If anyone is familiar with this kind of problem please help!! Thank you.

If I am correct, the timing on this engine may not be adjustable. If the engine has a a coil pack like most newer GM cars, the timing is non adjustable. Have someone check your catalytic converter for restrictions. I have seen catalytic converters that were installed a year ago, go bad and plug up the exhaust causing the engine to run terrible. Have someone check the exhaust pressure at the end or have them remove the cat for an inspection. If the cat is plugged up, the engine may continue to idle fine, but as soon as you give it gas, it can start to choke up.

Often times, that aftermarket Catalytic converters will only last a couple of years. The manufacturers do this to continue to make money year after year.

The first cat might have gone bad because you're pumping a ton of unburnt hydrocarbons out of your engine. The second cat would have clogged up for the same reason. A muffler shop can take before and after cat pressure readings to tell if it's the problem.
