Alright im 4 months pregnant and our whole family knows, My hubby's boss invited us to lunch today along with about 15 other people who are friends and co workers of my hubbys. We arent ready to tell them yet....We have this lunch date today....im freaking out because im showing and i dont know how to hide it, none of my jeans fit anymore, but i do have some maternity jeans that fit.....Should i wear those with a bigger sweatshirt? Please help me!!!

I want to hide it FOR THE DAY because it is a going away party for the secretary and i want it to be about her. Sheesh is that so bad lol. Its just not the time to tell her. We are all very good friends and its her time, not mine :) They will know soon enough

lol, this is going to get progressively harder and harder.. lol.
Yeah, i'd wear the maternity pants, and a bigger sweater. Or even a cardigan or jacket. A loser fitting under shirt and a blazer would hide things pretty well.
You'll just have to try a few combo's of clothes you have until you find the one that hides the best.
BLACK, wear black. And wear nice shoes, and a shiney necklace and wear your hair down. It distracts from your middle, if your ends are flashy.

I think more important than what you wear ... what do you plan on saying. If you're married and at 4 mos why are you waiting to tell people. If it's a health issue or something you need to have a response or two since it's noticeable. Be prepared with something like we're not ready to discuss babies yet. You know if they know you and hubby they may expect your change of clothes fit and appearance to signal that dreaded question. Just find something comfortable and prepare yourself ... don't get caught with no answer and forced into one you didn't want to give.

I didn't tell my mother I was pregnant until I was about 5 months along. I stopped wearing regular jeans around 4 months and started to wear maternity jeans with long baggy shirts. She never even noticed and that's my mom. I saw her every weekend and she never figured it out. I think you should be safe. Just make sure you don't show off the band on the jeans and watch how you carry yourself.

Is it imperative that this news not get out to his boss and co-workers yet? If so, then do your best to hide it. But, if it's not going to cost him the job or a promotion or anything like that, today may be a good day to tell them all. Wait until after everyone has a few cocktails and they'll be much happier for you.

Why aren't you ready to tell them yet?? You are pretty much in the clear as far as miscarriage goes...and you should be proud of your pregnant belly! :) Hey...just think of how amazing it is that we...women...can actually grow people!! :) They are going to know eventually..what are you gonna do wait until you have the baby then spring it on them when your hubby has to take a couple days off for paternity leave?
But hey, it's your life. If you want to keep it a secret..just cover it up with a baggy shirt or jacket...get yourself to the table asap and chances are, they will just think that you put on a little weight! (Personally though....I would rather have everyone know my exciting and joyous news than to think I have just gotten fat!)

Wear the maternity jean with a baggy top to hide it. If anyone says anything, ply off the I have been just gaining weight thing and no one else with bother you lol... good luck!! :)

you should not be hiding it anymore if you showing nows teh time to let people be excited for you take care of you and lavish you in gifts and food. lol. but if you really want to hide it wear a hooded shirt or sweat shirt and when you stand up put your hands in the pockets so they dont suspect its anything more then your hands.
