First, real old school is rap in the 80s...Rap in 2001 (5yrs ago) isn't really considered old school, but if that's the time frame you want I would suggest: Redman & Method Man, Nas, The Roots, Ja Rule, Fat Joe, Big Pun, Timbaland, Snoop, K-os, Bow Wow, Trick Daddy ...good luck.

The best old school hip hop has to be anything by the lyricist many people dont even remember, his name is the one and only KRS-ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am absolutely shocked no one has mentioned KRS-One except for me! You are not real hip hop heads! This is shameful, Easy E must be rolling around in his grave right now!
