I have the oppertunity through a vo-tech program to either get my EMT license or my CNA and work as an aid. I was wondering which one would bring in more money and which one would make it easier to get a job?
Thanks

It really depends on whether you live in a big city on small town. Your best bet would be a cna. I dont know how much cna's get paid in your area, but as a emt in a small town the pay is'nt great, plus the hours are long. The work is'nt hard though. My advise is to follow your heart. Good luck.

If you can apply it toward a nursing program that would be even better. YOU must be an RN to make a decent living and most hospitals are requiring them for employment now.

Both are okay- not great. A mere stepping stone. You need to be keenly aware of that. You need to keep looking for scholarships and loans for Nursing school.

EMT is okay and more flexible hours while you attend school to become a nurse. You get alot more practical experience.

CNA will not be a rewarding job, your the janitor and maid for the hospital most times or even worse in nursing homes.

Depending on your age, I would consider talking to the college counselor and heed their advise.
