My husband, infant son, and I were driving home through our (very large) neighborhood minding our own business when we saw a young, teenage girl jogging along one of the walking paths. We also saw a beater-of-a-car slowly following her about 100 yards away. We thought, "We must be seeing things!" So, we went around a corner and doubled back to be certain that we actually saw this correctly. It's a nice neighborhood, so the beater car seemed kinda strange, too. When we circled again, we thought, "Yes, this car is actually following this girl." So, I got on the cell phone and called the police because we thought it was so suspicious. Then, we circled a few more times and were able to stop along side her & call out the window to her that there was a car following her. She said, "Yeah. It's my Dad." We were both extremely glad & horribly embarassed, and called the police back to update them. Then, we've second-guessed our reaction ever since. What would you have done if you saw this?

I probably would have tried to get her attention and asked her the same thing. It seems like nowadays so many people are busy and caught up in their own lives and don't notice when things seem off. I commend you for taking the time to make sure everything was ok for the girl I think you did the right thing and I'm sure the father appreciated it also.

I think you were right on with your actions. There are so many crazy things happening now days. I know most people truly do appreciate someone looking out for them. wouldn't you rather feel a little embarassed now, then to have done nothing ,and found out later the young lady had been attacked? I say good job to you

You did the right thing. I wish more people were that willing to help a stranger. Merry Christmas, and God Bless.
