Lottery tickets. Home-made Fudge or other special treat. Sassy coffee mug with gift certificate or lottery tickets inside. Handmade ornament. Go to the dollar store or other discount store for great options and funny ideas.
A "Calgon! Take me away basket" stuffed with cheap bath crystals, loofa, oils, lotion, deck of cards, humorous small book or mini book (The kind that are maybe 2 inches tall) small candles, etc.
A basket of stress relief for the office: A stress ball, silly string, velcro "dart" board or nerf basketball for the back of their door. A Do Not Disturb sign (could be homemade). Chocolate. A stop-watch. (I'll give you this much time.) Cheap battery-operated fountain or zen garden(Check your local dollar store).
A basket of stress: pens, pencils, memo pads, rubix cube, other impossible task toys.

A good book, a daytimer, a very nice bookmark, a CD, a nice notebook, an inexpensive totebag or backpack item, giftcard and mug from Starbucks, calculator, assorted chocolates or flavored coffees, a nice scented candle, a DVD, a movie rental card with popcorn and candy included in the giftbag, etc.

just went to a party that was the same thing. there were a lot of coffee cops, gift cards to coffee shops, cocoa mix set, and candle sets.
