Most insurance companies do NOT see pregnancy as a "pre-existing condition". Just call around, check with Anthem Blue Cross. I was pregnant right before getting married and getting put on my husband's Anthem Blue Cross insurance and I was still completely covered.. and they cover maternity 100%!

I was under the impression that any insurance company had to take you in even if you were pregnant. Its not a condition or a sickness, or a cronic condition, its a function of living, and most women who carry insurance will become pregnant at some point.

Your premiums may be higher, but they certainly should be out rageous just because you're pregnant.

Jsut call around to the different companies. MVP, BlueCross, things like that.

I am pretty sure no. What state are you in? Usually pregnancy medicaid is different than regular medicaid. Have you went to your local clinic? Maybe they can point you in the right direction. Because, usually, noone wants to see a mother pregnant without insurance or prenatal care. Good Luck!

Most should
Pregnancy is not a preexisting condition since it has a for sure end date.I had the same issue and had no problems with the insurance covering it.

I got madicaid when I was already pregnant, I didnt qualify before but if you are pregnant they should give it to you, they sent me the baby's card too so he is already covered. There is also a program in most hospitals that will give you prenetal care for free.

pregnancy is not usually considered pre-exsisting. If you cant afford insurance you might try a free womens clinic, or Planned Parenthood. Check your phonebook or gyn office for places that can help.

If you're in the US, your state likely has some program for pregnant women. Ask at the local hospital, either at their maternity section or their women's clinic.
