Both name days and birthdays are celebrated. Unmarried women are indeed buried in a wedding dress.

Name days and birthdays are both celebrated but the name day is a more important celebration. The others about the burial issues I have never heard of. It may be true in some remote villages but not in the cities of Greece.

Hope this helped

wow
this is a "dark" question!

lol

but yes, you are right for our burring customs..

as for our birthdays and name days, we both celebrate them.
The difference is that ONLY people with Christian names can celebrate their name day. Cause we have names of our Saints, and we celebrate the day that they died - this is our way to honor them..

Regards

I studied with JW's for a mutually as, and as a consequence, have executed plenty learn on the go. They continuously quote references in regards to the form of the go being a pagan image hundreds of years until now Jesus became born. . whether that's actual, it has no longer something to do with the tactic of execution utilized by ability of the Romans. they have a ton of information approximately it, and ignore lots of the information from the 1st century. because of the fact the main undemanding bare-bones meaning of "stauros" is stake, they attempt to decrease its use to a stake and not utilising a crosspiece, that's regardless of the undeniable fact that any Bible dictionary will inform you that even however the undemanding meaning is "stake", it is likewise the be conscious used for torture stakes with crosspieces. in basic terms as a pole right this moment could have a crosspiece and nonetheless be observed as a pole - no longer a go - a stauros with a crosspiece became observed as a stauros. (once you tension down the line and notice stakes with crossbars, no person calls them "crosses" - they call them "poles".) the author of the Letter of Barnabas used the be conscious "stauros" - probable between a hundred and 133 advert - and defined it as a T shape. I somewhat have yet to pay attention a JW clarify how "Barnabas" would desire to apply the be conscious 'stauros' to describe a T stake, if that's actual that a stauros in no way gave the effect of a T. additionally, Lucien Seneca of the 1st century says that there have been different kinds of stauroses. Justin Martyr , writing in Greek, extensively utilized "stauros" for the tool of Jesus' dying. And this is glaring from his writings that he became talking a pair of stake with a crosspiece. . i've got in no way seen a historic previous Channel software the place everybody made the assertion that crosses weren't getting used on the time of Jesus. Admittedly, i've got no longer watched each coach, yet whilst somebody made that assertion, it became in basic terms their opinion and could no longer be shown by ability of them. And whether the historic previous Channel courses in specific circumstances recent conflicting suggestions and evaluations, the information they recent is commonly provided as a accessible clarification, incredibly in circumstances mutually with this the place no sure information is accessible.
