How do i create animations in photoshop?

I have the latest photoshop and ImageReady but basically I dont know how to introduce a new picture into frame 2 on the animation toolbar.

So basically i have the first frame and i would like to put an entirely new image in as the second frame for the same animation.

I do not believe Photoshop has a gif animator or a flash animator. (Or the old version I have does not) Depending on how fancy the animation is, you can get free gif animator if you search at download.com. If you ware wanting to do more than a three to four second 1"x2" animation, you will want to pay a copy of Flash. It is the best web animator currently on the market.

1. Paste all your frames into the image as new layers.
2. Open the animation window (Window >> Animation).
3. There's a little arrow on the right side of the animation box, click it and choose 'make frames from layers'.

not exactly the most useful gem of info, but if you looking to do frame to frame animations you want a program called 'Macromedia flash' this is the best way to animation from frame to frame if thats the way you'll plan to take things.

It also opens the avenue for a few short cuts in animation.

Use Macromedia Flash and just create the images in photoshop and import them. It will then create a swf file that can be used on websites. my school seem to swear by it all of a sudden.
